Please join us as we celebrate the induction of our 2026 Golden Apple Scholars cohort. Begun in 1989 by the award-winning teachers of Golden Apple and Patricia Koldyke, the Scholars program in Illinois has positively impacted thousands of program participants--and K-12 students--statewide. Golden Apple supports Scholars throughout their collegiate experience and professional careers. We look forward to you joining us for this very special ceremony!
Event Details:
- 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM CST| Check in and Light Bites
- 2:00 PM - 2:45 PM CST | Scholar Orientation
- 2:45 PM - 4:00 PM CST | Induction Ceremony
Attire | We will be taking pictures, so wear what you would wear to an awards or graduation ceremony.
Guest Policy:
Each Scholar Inductee can bring up to two additional guests.

To help ensure a smooth and efficient check-in process, we ask Scholars to follow the staggered check-in schedule below based on the first letter of their last name:
- A–G: Please arrive at 1:00 PM
- H–O: Please arrive at 1:15 PM
- P–Z: Please arrive at 1:30 PM
Thank you for helping us stay on schedule — we’re expecting a large group, and your cooperation will make check-in much smoother for everyone!
- What are the parking instructions?
Parking at The Geraghty is limited. We strongly encourage guests to use a rideshare service if possible.
- Valet Parking: Available for $25 per vehicle. Cash and credit cards are accepted. To help expedite arrival for all guests, please have your payment ready when you arrive, as we are expecting a large number of attendees.
- Street Parking: Limited street parking available in the surrounding area.
- Reserve Parking in Advance: Guests may also reserve a nearby paid parking space through SpotHero.
- Have you completed your FRAME Activity? (Deadline: Friday, July 10th)
We are encouraging scholars to complete a FRAME for Teaching activity. Your FRAME slide will be displayed during induction to celebrate your identity and passion for teaching. To have your FRAME displayed, we must have your slide by Friday, July 10th).
